The Dakota Digital HDX-55C-K brings a fully customizable digital instrument system to the 1955-56 Chevy car, finished in black gauge-face styling. As one of Dakota Digital's original direct-fit applications, this HDX system installs into your stock or reproduction bezel and pairs a large TFT display with six analog gauge readings for a dramatic blend of classic and modern technology.
Users can independently select illumination colors for the gauge needles, sweeps, and message center displays, with calibration and personal settings managed through built-in capacitive-touch buttons or the available Bluetooth app for Apple and Android devices. Each needle hub is black nickel plated spun-aluminum to match the control buttons, creating a cohesive, upscale appearance.
All HDX instrument systems feature dead-faced indicators for turn signals, high beam, check engine, cruise control, parking brake, and two user-definable functions, plus a red, settable warning light for each gauge. A central control box simplifies installation by sourcing signals from the vehicle harness and connecting supplied, solid state sending units cleanly to their respective terminals.

Notes
- Bezel not included; system uses an OEM or reproduction style bezel
- Replacement chrome bezels available separately as CHC-55C
- HLC-55C clock is available separately and designed as a complement to this HDX system
- System eliminates the stock automatic gear shift indicator above the steering column; add the GSS-2000 Gear Shift Sensor (sold separately) to display gear position
- Gear position indicator requires optional GSS-3000 sensor
- DIM-1 accessory available separately for on-the-fly rotary brightness control
- Part # 130011 (sold separately) allows relocation of the pulse generator when additional clearance is required; Tremec and Ford style adaptors available on request
- Not all OEM indicator lamp functions are replaced; unused indicators may be repurposed as needed
