The Dakota Digital HDX-58C-VET-K is a direct-fit HDX instrument system engineered specifically for the unique dash of the 1958-62 Chevy Corvette, featuring black alloy gauge-face styling and chrome bezels. This high-tech system reuses your existing painted, cast dash housing, allowing for a clean factory-style installation while delivering modern digital capability and the ability to connect to nearly any engine/transmission combination.
Each HDX system includes twin TFT message centers and allows the user to independently select illumination colors for the gauge readings, needles, and message center displays. Calibration and personal settings are manipulated through built-in capacitive-touch buttons or the available Bluetooth app for Apple and Android devices. Needle hubs are black nickel plated spun-aluminum to match the buttons, creating a cohesive, upscale appearance.
With the central control box, installation is simplified through vehicle-harness sourced signals and supplied solid-state sending units that connect cleanly to their respective terminals. Dead-faced indicators and a red, settable warning light for each gauge add both functionality and style to this instrument system.

- Cable Driven Speed Sensor/Generator: Replaces GM style speedometer cables, includes 10 ft harness; requires approximately 5" clearance between the cable drive output and any obstruction. Part # 130011 (sold separately) allows relocation of the pulse generator when additional clearance is required
- Bushings: 1/8" to 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" NPT bushings, plus 12mm and 16mm x 1.5 thread bushings
Notes
- Dash housing is not included; system is designed to work with the OEM or reproduction style instrument housing
- Gear position indicator requires optional GSS-3000 sensor
- Not all OEM indicator lamp functions will be replaced; unused indicators can be repurposed as needed
- DIM-1 accessory available for on-the-fly rotary brightness control
- GPS-50-2 accessory can negate the need for speedometer calibration
- HLC-58C-VET clock unit (sold separately) is designed to complement this system, fitting the factory clock housing and connecting to the main HDX control box; cannot be used alone
