Description
The Dakota Digital RTX-79F-MUS-X is a direct-fit RTX Series instrument system for 1979-86 Ford Mustang models, designed to retain the stock gauge layout and face styling while adding late-model features and technology. OEM design elements are incorporated into the layout, face styling and indicators, so the system presents a factory appearance until the LED backlighting is activated, revealing a fully customizable color scheme.
Each gauge housing is CNC machined and filled with electronics designed and built in-house by Dakota Digital. A high-definition TFT message center can be configured to display a wide range of vehicle information, and the system utilizes a central control box to simplify installation and setup.
This system uses an OEM or reproduction style bezel; the bezel is not included.

- Water Temperature: 1/8" NPT, ground isolated sensor with a 10 ft harness
- Oil Pressure: 1/8" NPT solid state sensor with a 10 ft harness
- Cable Driven Speed Sensor/Generator: replaces Ford and/or GM style speedometer cables with a 10 ft harness; requires approximately 5" clearance between the cable drive output and any obstruction
- Bushings: 1/8" to 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" NPT bushings, plus bushings for 12mm and 16mm x 1.5 threads

Notes
- Bezel not included; system is designed to use an OEM or reproduction style bezel
- Not all OEM indicator lamp functions will be replaced; unused indicators may be repurposed as needed
- Gear Position indicator requires optional GSS-3000 sensor, sold separately
- Part # 130011 (sold separately) allows relocation of the pulse generator when additional clearance is required
- Speedometer calibration is not required if a GPS-50-2 is used
