Description
The Dakota Digital RTX-51F-X Instrument System is a bolt-in upgrade designed to give the stock, body-colored instrument bezel in a 1951 Ford car a modern facelift while retaining its classic appearance. Built from the lens back, this RTX system blends the look of the factory gauge cluster with the functionality of a late-model digital instrument package, including a full-color TFT message center that keeps the driver informed without looking out of place in a '50s-era car.
As part of Dakota Digital's RTX series, this system incorporates OEM-style design elements in layout, face styling, and indicators, so a casual glance may mistake it for original equipment. Once the switch is engaged and the LED backlighting activates in the chosen color scheme, the modern technology becomes apparent. CNC-machined housings are filled with in-house designed and built electronics, and a high-definition TFT message center can be configured to display a wide range of vehicle information. The system utilizes a central control box to simplify installation and setup.
This system uses the OEM bezel; the bezel itself is not included and is shown for visual/presentation purposes only.

- Cable Driven Speed Sensor/Generator: Replaces Ford and/or GM style speedometer cables with a 10 ft harness; requires approximately 5" clearance between the cable drive output and any obstruction (Part # 130011, sold separately, allows relocation of the pulse generator when additional clearance is needed)
- Bushings: 1/8" to 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" NPT, plus bushings for 12mm and 16mm x 1.5 threads
Notes
This system uses the OEM instrument bezel, which is not included with the kit. Not all OEM indicator lamp functions are replaced; unused indicators may be repurposed as needed for the application. Gear position indication requires the optional GSS-3000 sensor, sold separately.
