Description
The Dakota Digital HDX-53C-K is a complete HDX instrument system engineered for 1953-54 Chevy cars, featuring a black alloy gauge face. One large TFT message center is flanked by six analog instruments nestled into a machined housing designed to fit a stock instrument bezel. After opening up a small section of the stock dash, this all-in-one instrumentation solution fits right in using the supplied sensors to link up with the drivetrain.
The system allows the user to select independent illumination colors for the gauge readings, needles, and message centers. Calibration and personal settings are manipulated with built-in capacitive-touch buttons or the available Bluetooth app for Apple and Android devices. Each needle hub is black nickel plated spun-aluminum to match the buttons.
Installation is simplified through a central control box that uses vehicle-harness sourced signals along with supplied solid-state sending units that connect cleanly to their respective terminals. The system uses an OEM or reproduction style bezel.
