Description
The Dakota Digital HDX-53C-S is a complete HDX instrument system designed to fit the stock instrument bezel location on 1953-54 Chevy cars, featuring a silver alloy gauge-face finish. A large TFT message center is flanked by six analog instruments, all nestled into a machined housing that fits into a small opening cut into the stock dash for a clean, all-in-one instrumentation solution.
Each HDX system allows independent selection of illumination colors for the gauge readings, needles, and message centers, with calibration and personal settings controlled through built-in capacitive-touch buttons or the available Bluetooth app for Apple and Android devices. Needle hubs are black nickel plated spun-aluminum to match the control buttons. The system is simplified for installation thanks to a central control box that uses vehicle-harness sourced signals along with supplied, solid-state sending units that connect cleanly to their respective terminals.
