The Dakota Digital RTX-53C-X RTX Instrument System is a direct-fit replacement gauge package designed for the 1953-54 Chevy Car, combining analog gauge movements with a full-color digital TFT message center. This system blends classic analog needle sweeps with modern digital technology, giving owners accurate readouts along with a wealth of customizable features.
Each analog gauge is backed by full LED backlighting with RGB color control, allowing independent selection of needle color, sweep color, and digital display color. With over 30 user-selectable color options and 12 factory preset themes, the RTX system can be tailored to match any interior style, from a classic OE look to a fully custom appearance.
Programming and operation are handled through an included two-sided pushbutton rocker switch, or through the free Dakota Digital mobile app for Android and Apple devices, which allows wireless configuration and real-time gauge readouts.

Included Sensors
- Water Temperature: 1/8" NPT, ground isolated sensor with a 10 ft harness
- Oil Pressure: 1/8" NPT solid state sensor with a 10 ft harness
- Cable Driven Speed Sensor/Generator: replaces GM style speedometer cables, includes a 10 ft harness; requires approximately 5" clearance between the cable drive output and any obstruction
- Bushings: 1/8" to 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" NPT bushings, plus bushings for 12mm and 16mm x 1.5 threads
Notes
- Not all OEM indicator lamp functions will be replaced; unused indicators may be repurposed as needed for the application
- Gear position indicator requires the optional GSS-3000 sensor (sold separately)
- DIM-1 rotary dimmer is a common accessory for on-the-fly brightness control (sold separately)
- Part # 130011 allows relocation of the pulse generator when additional clearance is required for the speed sensor (sold separately); Tremec and Ford style adaptors available on request
- GPS-50-2 may be used to eliminate the need for speedometer calibration
