The Dakota Digital RTX-68C-CAC-X is a direct-fit RTX instrument system designed for the 1968 Chevy Camaro equipped with the factory-optional center console gauge layout. Built from scratch with 1968 styling, this system faithfully recreates the vintage look while adding large TFT message centers to the speedometer and tachometer for modern functionality and accuracy.
As part of the RTX series, this system incorporates OEM design elements in layout, face styling, and indicators so it blends in seamlessly at a glance. Once the LED backlighting is activated, the system reveals its full range of modern capability through fully customizable color options and high-definition digital displays.
CNC machined housings house electronics designed and built in-house by Dakota Digital, and a central control box simplifies installation and setup. The kit uses OEM or reproduction style bezels, which are not included.

- Red LED sweep indicator on each analog gauge (except speedometer) for quick warning notice

Included Sensors
- Water Temperature sensor: 1/8" NPT, ground isolated, with 10 ft harness
- Oil Pressure sensor: 1/8" NPT solid state, with 10 ft harness
- Cable driven speed sensor/generator replacing GM style speedometer cables, with 10 ft harness (requires approximately 5" clearance between cable drive output and any obstruction; part number 130011 available separately for relocation when additional clearance is needed; Tremec and Ford style adaptors available on request)
- Bushings: 1/8" to 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" NPT, plus 12mm and 16mm x 1.5 thread bushings
Notes
- Dash and console bezel are not supplied; system uses OEM or reproduction style bezels
- Kit cannot be split up
- Gear Position indicator requires optional GSS-3000 sensor (sold separately)
- Not all OEM indicator lamp functions will be replaced; unused indicators may be repurposed as needed
- Optional DIM-1 accessory available for on-the-fly rotary brightness control
