Description
The Dakota Digital RTX-86C-MC-X is a direct-fit RTX Instrument System designed for the 1986-88 Chevy Monte Carlo, featuring the later-style instrument cluster design combined with full-color LED backlighting and a TFT message center display. It installs using your stock, round-gauge style cluster location; it does not fit rectangular sweep-style speedometer clusters.
Every effort has been made to incorporate OEM design elements into the layout, face styling, and indicators, so the system maintains a factory appearance until the LED backlighting is activated in the color scheme of your choice. CNC machined housings are filled with in-house designed and built electronics, and the high-definition TFT message center can be configured to display a wide range of information. A central control box simplifies installation and setup.
This system uses an OEM or reproduction style bezel; the bezel and housing are not supplied with the instrument system.

Included Sensors
- Water Temperature: 1/8" NPT ground isolated sensor with a 10 ft harness
- Oil Pressure: 1/8" NPT solid state sensor with a 10 ft harness
- Cable Driven Speed Sensor/Generator: replaces GM style speedometer cables, includes a 10 ft harness; requires approximately 5" clearance between the cable drive output and any obstruction (part # 130011 available separately for relocation when additional clearance is needed)
- Bushings: 1/8" to 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" NPT bushings, plus 12mm and 16mm x 1.5 thread bushings
