Description

Description

The Dakota Digital RTX-78C-MC-X is a direct fit RTX Instrument System designed for 1978-85 Chevy Monte Carlo models equipped with the early-style round-gauge cluster. This system combines the appearance of the original instrument cluster with full-color LED backlighting and a high-definition TFT message center display, delivering the stock look without sacrificing modern features.

Every effort has been put into incorporating OEM design elements regarding layout, face styling and indicators, so a casual glance may mistake it for original equipment. Once the switch is activated and the LED backlighting illuminates in your chosen color scheme, the difference becomes clear. CNC machined housings are filled with electronics designed and built in-house by Dakota Digital, and the system utilizes a central control box to simplify installation and setup.

This system uses the stock, round-gauge style cluster and is intended for installation in the Monte Carlo using an OEM or reproduction style bezel. It does not fit rectangular sweep-style speedometer clusters, and the bezel and housing are not supplied.
