Description
The Dakota Digital GRFX-70C-CVL Grafix Series instrument system is a direct bolt-in upgrade for 1970-72 Chevelle SS, Monte Carlo, El Camino, and 1971 GMC Sprint SP models equipped with the six-round gauge opening. Designed to install into a stock or reproduction gauge carrier and bezel (sold separately), this system brings modern digital technology and total customization to a classic muscle car dash.
The Grafix Series allows the user to personalize nearly every aspect of the instrument display. Multiple graphic themes can be selected, with each gauge location configurable as Analog, Digital, or Bar-graph style, and individual elements can be adjusted for color and warning mode. Gauges can display readings singly, be grouped in pairs, or reconfigured entirely to show different data as needed.
This system also offers integration of a reverse backup video display shown directly within the instrument cluster, along with onboard GPS technology for automatic speedometer calibration regardless of tire size or gearing. Built-in Bluetooth connectivity allows wireless access to the Dakota Digital App for configuration, calibration, and real-time diagnostics, while a USB port enables future field updates. An integrated G-force meter provides a graphical display of real-time driving dynamics. All Dakota Digital instrument systems are engineered and produced in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and are backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty.

Included Sensors
- Water Temperature: 1/8" NPT, ground isolated sensor with a 10 ft harness
- Oil Pressure: 1/8" NPT solid state sensor with a 10 ft harness
- Cable Driven Speed Sensor/Generator: replaces GM style speedometer cables with a 10 ft harness; requires approximately 5" clearance between the cable drive output and any obstruction (Part # 130011 available separately for relocation when additional clearance is required)
- Bushings: 1/8" to 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" NPT bushings, plus bushings for 12mm and 16mm x 1.5 threads
Notes
- Gauge carrier and bezel are not included and are sold separately; system uses an OEM or reproduction style bezel
- Backup camera is available separately with full-length wire harness and universal mounting
- Optional DIM-1 dimming knob available for manual brightness control
- Optional 0-300 psi oil pressure sensor (SEN-03-9) available for extended digital numeric range
- Not all OEM indicator lamp functions will be replaced; unused indicators may be repurposed as needed
