Description
The Dakota Digital HDX-53F-PU-S is a complete HDX instrument system engineered specifically for the 1953-55 Ford F100 pickup's distinctive trapezoid-shaped dash opening. A new bezel is milled from a solid chunk of aluminum to fit the stock dash exactly, then chromed for a factory-correct appearance, and filled with six analog instruments and a large TFT message center. Included sensors allow the system to monitor your choice of drivetrain components.
This system features silver alloy gauge-face styling, with independently selectable illumination colors for the gauge readings, needles, and message centers. Calibration and personal settings are manipulated through the built-in, capacitive-touch buttons, or through the available Bluetooth app for Apple and Android devices. Each needle hub is black nickel plated spun-aluminum to match the control buttons.
All HDX instrument systems feature dead-faced indicators (turn signals, high beam, check engine, cruise control, parking brake, plus two user-definable), along with a red, settable warning light for each gauge. The included central control box simplifies installation with vehicle-harness sourced signals and supplied, solid-state sending units that connect cleanly to their respective terminals.

- Cable Driven Speed Sensor/Generator: replaces Ford and/or GM style speedometer cables with a 10 ft harness; requires approximately 5" clearance between the cable drive output and any obstruction
- Bushings: 1/8" to 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" NPT bushings, plus bushings for 12mm and 16mm x 1.5 threads
Notes
- Not all OEM indicator lamp functions are replaced; unused indicators may be repurposed to suit the application
- Gear Position indicator requires the optional GSS-3000 sensor, sold separately
- Part # 130011 (sold separately) allows relocation of the pulse generator when additional clearance is required
- Speedometer calibration is not required when the GPS-50-2 accessory is used
- DIM-1 accessory (sold separately) is available for on-the-fly rotary dimmer control
