Description
The Dakota Digital HDX-55C-PU-S is a complete instrument system designed specifically for 1955-59 Chevy pickup trucks (does not fit GMC). This V-shaped cluster retains the iconic factory profile while delivering modern HDX electronics, finished with a silver alloy gauge face. A stock or reproduction bezel, available separately, is used to mount this all-inclusive package.
A single TFT display in the center of the cluster allows the user to view exactly the information they desire. Independent illumination colors can be selected for the gauge readings, needles, and message centers, with calibration and settings controlled through built-in capacitive-touch buttons or the available Bluetooth app for Apple and Android devices. Each needle hub is black nickel plated spun-aluminum to match the buttons.
Installation is simplified through a central control box that uses vehicle-harness sourced signals along with supplied, solid-state sending units that connect cleanly to their respective terminals.

- Cable Driven Speed Sensor/Generator: replaces GM style speedometer cables, includes 10 ft harness; requires approximately 5" clearance between the cable drive output and any obstruction (Part # 130011, sold separately, allows relocation of the pulse generator when additional clearance is needed)
- Bushings: 1/8" to 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" NPT, plus 12mm and 16mm x 1.5 thread bushings
Notes
- Bezel not included; system is designed to use an OEM or reproduction style bezel
- Does not fit GMC pickups
- Gear Position indicator requires optional GSS-3000 sensor
- Not all OEM indicator lamp functions are replaced; unused indicators may be repurposed as needed
- DIM-1 accessory available for on-the-fly rotary brightness control
- GPS-50-2 accessory, if used, eliminates the need to calibrate the speedometer
