Description
The Dakota Digital RTX-55C-PU-X RTX Instrument System is a direct-fit gauge package designed for 1955-59 Chevy trucks, combining precision analog gauges with a full-color digital message center. Each gauge features full LED backlighting with over 30 user-selectable color options, allowing independent control of needle color, sweep color, and digital TFT display color to match any interior theme.
Beyond displaying essential vehicle information, the RTX system includes built-in performance meters and a digital message center with odometer, dual trip meters, clock, and estimated range functions. The system is configured and operated through an included pushbutton rocker switch or through the free Dakota Digital mobile app for Android and Apple devices.

Included Sensors
- Water Temperature: 1/8" NPT, ground isolated sensor with 10 ft harness
- Oil Pressure: 1/8" NPT solid state sensor with 10 ft harness
- Cable Driven Speed Sensor/Generator: replaces GM style speedometer cables with a 10 ft harness; requires approximately 5" clearance between the cable drive output and any obstruction
- Bushings: 1/8" to 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" NPT bushings, plus 12mm and 16mm x 1.5 thread bushings
Notes
- Not all OEM indicator lamp functions will be replaced; unused indicators may be repurposed as needed
- Gear position indicator requires the optional GSS-3000 sensor (sold separately)
- Part # 130011 (sold separately) allows relocation of the cable-driven pulse generator when additional clearance is required; Tremec and Ford style adaptors available on request
- DIM-1 is a common accessory for adding on-the-fly rotary brightness control (sold separately)
