Description
The Dakota Digital HDX-64F-FAL-S is a direct bolt-in instrument system designed for the 1964-65 Ford Falcon, Ranchero, and early (non-Pony) Mustang. Built with a silver alloy gauge-face styling, this HDX system delivers six analog gauge readings along with twin TFT message centers, all installed using a stock or reproduction 1964-65 front bezel without the need to cut into the original dash.
The system allows independent illumination color selection for gauge readings, needles, and message centers, giving owners full control over the look of their instrument panel. Calibration and personal settings are managed through built-in capacitive-touch buttons or the available Bluetooth app for Apple and Android devices. Each needle hub is black nickel plated spun-aluminum to complement the button finish.
Installation is simplified through a central control box that uses vehicle-harness sourced signals along with supplied, solid-state sending units that connect cleanly to their respective terminals.

- Cable Driven Speed Sensor/Generator: Replaces Ford and/or GM style speedometer cables with a 10 ft harness; requires approximately 5" clearance between the cable drive output and any obstruction (optional Part # 130011, sold separately, allows relocation of the pulse generator when additional clearance is needed)
- Bushings: 1/8" to 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" NPT bushings, plus bushings for 12mm and 16mm x 1.5 threads
Notes
- Front bezel is not included; system is designed to use an OEM or reproduction style bezel
- Not all OEM indicator lamp functions will be replaced; unused indicators can be repurposed to suit specific applications
- Gear Position indicator requires the optional GSS-3000 sensor
- Optional DIM-1 accessory available for on-the-fly rotary brightness control
- Speedometer calibration is unnecessary if the GPS-50-2 accessory is used
