The Dakota Digital HDX-70P-FIR-S is a direct drop-in instrument system designed for 1970-81 Pontiac Firebird and Trans Am models, featuring a silver alloy gauge-face styling to complement the factory dash layout. This system includes matte-black, machined aluminum gauge bezels along with twin TFT message displays, bringing modern digital technology to a classic dash design.
The HDX system comes with five gauges, but for owners with a three-gauge dash who prefer not to drill extra holes, the Oil Pressure and Water Temperature gauges can be omitted, with that information remaining accessible through the message centers.
Each HDX system allows independent illumination color selection for gauge readings, needles, and message centers, with calibration and settings managed through built-in capacitive-touch buttons or the available Bluetooth app for Apple and Android devices. Needle hubs are black nickel plated spun-aluminum to match the control buttons.

- Bushings: 1/8" to 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" NPT bushings, plus 12mm and 16mm x 1.5 thread bushings
Notes
- Bezel, facia, and dashboard are not included; system uses OEM or reproduction style bezel
- Gear Position indicator requires optional GSS-3000 sensor (sold separately)
- Part # 130011 (sold separately) allows relocation of the pulse generator when additional clearance is required; Tremec and Ford style adaptors available on request
- Not all OEM indicator lamp functions will be replaced; unused indicators may be repurposed as needed
- DIM-1 is a common accessory for on-the-fly rotary brightness control (sold separately)
