The Dakota Digital RTX-71D-CHG-X Instrument System brings late-model technology to 1971-74 Dodge Charger models while retaining the iconic Rallye-style multi-gauge dash appearance. Designed to mount directly into the factory steel dash structure, this system is overlaid by the OEM front gauge bezel, preserving the deeply held B-body look while delivering a fully modern instrument experience.
New LED backlighting is integrated within the OEM headlight and wiper switch, matching the user-customizable color options offered throughout the RTX family. As part of the RTX series, this system focuses on retaining a stock appearance without sacrificing the features expected from a modern instrument cluster. OEM design elements regarding layout, face styling, and indicators have been carefully incorporated so that, at a glance, the gauges appear factory original—until the LED backlighting comes to life in your chosen color scheme.
Each RTX instrument cluster begins as a CNC-machined housing filled with electronics designed and built in-house by Dakota Digital. A high-definition TFT message center can be configured to display a wide range of vehicle information, and a central control box simplifies installation and setup.

- Cable Driven Speed Sensor/Generator: replaces GM style speedometer cables with a 10 ft harness; requires approximately 5" clearance between the cable drive output and any obstruction (Tremec and Ford style adaptors available on request)
- Bushings: 1/8" to 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" NPT, plus 12mm and 16mm x 1.5 thread bushings

- DIM-1 accessory available separately for on-the-fly rotary brightness control
- Not all OEM indicator lamp functions are replaced; unused indicators may be repurposed as needed
