Description
The Dakota Digital RTX-71I-SCT-X Instrument System brings late-model technology to the 1971-80 International Scout II while retaining the stock gauge appearance. Every effort has been made to incorporate OEM-style design elements, from the overall layout to the face styling and indicator placement, so the system looks right at home in the original dash.
Each gauge housing is CNC machined and filled with electronics designed and built in-house by Dakota Digital. A high-definition TFT message center can be configured to display a wide range of vehicle information, and the system uses a central control box to simplify installation and setup. Full LED backlighting with RGB capability allows the color scheme to be tailored to your taste, all while maintaining that classic analog look.
This system uses the OEM bezel; the bezel itself is not included and is shown for representation purposes only.

Included Sensors
- Water Temperature: 1/8" NPT, ground isolated sensor with a 10 ft harness
- Oil Pressure: 1/8" NPT solid state sensor with a 10 ft harness
- Cable Driven Speed Sensor/Generator: replaces GM style speedometer cables with a 10 ft harness; requires approximately 5" clearance between the cable drive output and any obstruction (Part # 130011 available separately for relocating the pulse generator when additional clearance is needed)
- Bushings: 1/8" to 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" NPT bushings, plus bushings for 12mm and 16mm x 1.5 threads
Notes
- OEM bezel required for installation; bezel is not included with this system
- Gear Position indicator requires optional GSS-3000 sensor
- Not all OEM indicator lamp functions will be replaced; unused indicators may be repurposed as needed
- Speedometer calibration can be bypassed if used with a GPS-50-2 sensor
