Description
The Dakota Digital HDX-71C-CAP-K HDX System is a drop-in replacement instrument cluster designed specifically for 1971-76 Chevy Impala and Caprice models, featuring a black gauge-face styling. Required sending units are included for a painless installation, and a large TFT message center allows full customization of auxiliary readings to keep the driver informed of under-hood conditions.
This HDX system gives the user independent control over illumination colors for gauge readings, needles, and message centers, allowing the display to be matched to any paint scheme. Calibration and personal settings are managed through built-in capacitive-touch buttons or the available Bluetooth app for Apple and Android devices. Each needle hub is black nickel plated spun-aluminum to complement the black nickel buttons.
With the central control box, installation is simplified through vehicle-harness sourced signals and supplied, solid-state sending units that connect cleanly to their respective terminals. This system uses an OEM or reproduction-style bezel, which is not included.
