The Dakota Digital HDX-71C-CAP-S HDX Instrument System is a direct, drop-in replacement gauge cluster designed specifically for 1971-76 Chevy Impala and Caprice models, featuring a silver alloy gauge-face styling. This system combines traditional analog gauges with a large TFT message center, giving drivers full customization of auxiliary readings while keeping them informed of under-hood conditions.
Each HDX system allows independent control of illumination colors for gauge readings, needles, and message centers, letting owners match any paint scheme or create a unique look. Calibration and personal settings are managed through built-in capacitive-touch buttons or the available Bluetooth app for Apple and Android devices. Required sending units are included for a painless installation, with a central control box simplifying wiring through vehicle-harness sourced signals.
Each needle hub is black nickel plated spun-aluminum to match the control buttons. The system uses an OEM or reproduction style bezel; bezel is not included.

- Bushings: 1/8" to 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" NPT bushings, plus 12mm and 16mm x 1.5 thread bushings
Notes
- Bezel not included; system uses an OEM or reproduction style bezel
- Not all OEM indicator lamp functions will be replaced; unused indicators may be repurposed as needed
- Gear Position indicator requires optional GSS-3000 sensor (sold separately)
- Part # 130011 (sold separately) allows relocation of the pulse generator when additional clearance is required; Tremec and Ford style adaptors available on request
