Description
The Dakota Digital HDX-94C-CAP-K is a direct-fit HDX gauge system for 1994-96 Chevrolet Caprice and Impala SS models, featuring a black alloy gauge-face styling that drops right into the stock dash. Whether installed in a retired police car, a sinister Impala SS, or any trim level in between, this system delivers a wealth of information not available from the factory instrumentation.
This HDX system allows independent illumination colors for gauge readings, needles, and message centers. Calibration and personal settings are managed through built-in capacitive-touch buttons or the available Bluetooth app for Apple and Android devices. Each needle hub is black nickel plated spun-aluminum to match the buttons, and the system features dead-faced indicators along with a red, settable warning light for each gauge.
Installation is simplified through a central control box that uses vehicle-harness sourced signals and supplied solid-state sending units that connect cleanly to their respective terminals. The system uses an OEM or reproduction style bezel, which is not included.

- Cable Driven Speed Sensor/Generator: replaces GM style speedometer cables with a 10 ft harness; requires approximately 5" clearance between the cable drive output and any obstruction
- Bushings: 1/8" to 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" NPT bushings, plus bushings for 12mm and 16mm x 1.5 threads
