Description
The Dakota Digital HDX-73F-PU-K is a direct-fit instrument system designed for 1973-79 Ford dentside pickups, bringing modern electronic gauge technology to a classic triple-square instrument cluster. This system features black alloy gauge-face styling with fully customizable indicator and lighting colors, allowing the vintage truck to gain 21st century functionality without sacrificing its original look.
Supplied sensors and available expansion modules allow the HDX system to mate with the drivetrain of your choice, while the full-color TFT message center provides additional trip, performance, and diagnostic information at a glance. Calibration and personal settings are controlled through built-in capacitive-touch buttons or the available Bluetooth app for Apple and Android devices. This system does not fit the E-Van.
Each needle hub is black nickel plated spun-aluminum to match the system's buttons. With the included central control box, installation is simplified through vehicle-harness sourced signals and supplied, solid-state sending units that connect cleanly to their respective terminals. The system uses an OEM or reproduction style bezel; the bezel itself is not included.

Included Sensors

- Oil Pressure: 1/8" NPT solid state sensor with 10 ft harness
- Cable Driven Speed Sensor/Generator: replaces Ford and/or GM style speedometer cables with a 10 ft harness; requires approximately 5" clearance between the cable drive output and any obstruction (Part # 130011, sold separately, allows relocation of the pulse generator when additional clearance is needed)
- Bushings: 1/8" to 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" NPT bushings, plus bushings for 12mm and 16mm x 1.5 threads
Notes
- Bezel not included; system is designed to use an OEM or reproduction style bezel
- Not all OEM indicator lamp functions will be replaced; unused indicators may be repurposed as needed
- Gear Position indicator requires the optional GSS-3000 sensor
- Optional DIM-1 accessory available for on-the-fly rotary brightness control
