Description
The Dakota Digital HDX-78C-VET-K is a bolt-in HDX instrument system designed for 1978-82 Chevy Corvettes, featuring black alloy gauge-face styling. This system brings modern TFT message center technology into the classic Corvette cockpit while installing into the stock instrument bezels and housings.
A pair of full-color TFT message centers allows the driver to display the data they need, when they need it. Calibration and personal settings are manipulated through built-in capacitive-touch buttons or the available Bluetooth app for Apple and Android devices. Each needle hub is black nickel plated spun-aluminum to match the buttons.
All HDX instrument systems feature dead-faced indicators and a red, settable warning light for each gauge. The included central control box simplifies installation using vehicle-harness sourced signals and supplied solid-state sending units that connect cleanly to their respective terminals.

Notes
Bezel not included; system is designed to use the OEM or reproduction style bezel. Gear position indicator requires optional GSS-3000 sensor (sold separately). Cable driven speed sensor requires approximately 5" of clearance between the cable drive output and any obstruction; part number 130011 (sold separately) allows for relocation of the pulse generator when additional clearance is required. Not all OEM indicator lamp functions will be replaced; unused indicators may be repurposed as needed.
