Description
The Dakota Digital HDX-78O-CUT-K is a direct-fit instrument system designed for 1978-87 Oldsmobile Cutlass/442 models, compatible with either the rectangle or round-gauge style cluster. This HDX system pairs a full-color TFT message center with six analog gauge readings, giving drivers both detailed data and at-a-glance information in a single package. It is finished with a black alloy gauge face.
Installation is simplified through a central control box that sources signals from the vehicle harness and connects to supplied, solid state sending units at their respective terminals. The system requires use of the stock cluster and an OEM or reproduction style bezel; the bezel itself is not included.
Owners can independently select illumination colors for the gauge readings, needles, and message centers, with calibration and personal settings managed through built-in capacitive-touch buttons or the available Bluetooth app for Apple and Android devices. Each needle hub is black nickel plated spun-aluminum to match the control buttons.
