Description
The Dakota Digital HDX-78O-CUT-S is a direct-fit HDX instrument system for 1978-87 Oldsmobile Cutlass/442 models, compatible with both the rectangle and round-gauge style clusters. This silver alloy gauge-face system combines a full-color TFT message center with six analog gauge readings, giving you precise, at-a-glance information along with customizable digital displays. The system requires use of the stock cluster and bezel, or an OEM-style reproduction bezel.
Independent illumination colors can be selected for the gauge readings, needles, and message center, allowing you to tailor the look to your taste. Calibration and personal settings are managed through built-in capacitive-touch buttons or the available Bluetooth app for Apple and Android devices. Each needle hub is black nickel plated spun-aluminum to match the control buttons.
Installation is simplified with a central control box that sources signals from the vehicle harness and uses supplied, solid-state sending units that connect cleanly to their respective terminals.
