Description
The Dakota Digital RTX-88C-PU-X Instrument System is a direct-fit replacement gauge cluster designed for 1988-91 Chevy/GMC Truck, Suburban, Tahoe, and Yukon models. Built to retain the stock appearance of the original dash, this system incorporates OEM-style design elements in its layout, face styling, and indicators, while adding modern electronics and fully configurable LED backlighting beneath the surface.
Each RTX gauge cluster starts with a CNC-machined housing filled with electronics designed and built in-house by Dakota Digital. A high-definition TFT message center can be configured to display a wide range of vehicle information, and the system uses a central control box to simplify installation and setup. Note that the bezel is not included with this system; it is designed to use an OEM or reproduction style bezel.

Included Sensors
- Water Temperature: 1/8" NPT, ground isolated sensor with 10 ft harness
- Oil Pressure: 1/8" NPT solid state sensor with 10 ft harness
- Cable Driven Speed Sensor/Generator: replaces GM style speedometer cables with a 10 ft harness; requires approximately 5" clearance between the cable drive output and any obstruction
- Bushings: 1/8" to 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" NPT bushings, plus bushings for 12mm and 16mm x 1.5 threads
Notes
- Bezel not included; system is designed to use an OEM or reproduction style bezel
- Not all OEM indicator lamp functions will be replaced; unused indicators may be repurposed as needed
- Gear Position indicator requires optional GSS-3000 sensor (sold separately)
- Part # 130011 (sold separately) allows relocation of the pulse generator when additional clearance is required; Tremec and Ford style adaptors available on request
- DIM-1 is a common accessory for adding on-the-fly rotary brightness control (sold separately)
- Speedometer calibration is not required when used with optional GPS-50-2 (sold separately)
